How do I add a new freeform front page box?
Front-page modules are the boxes on the front page that contain
things like news and the service calendar.
As hard as we try to automate page creation with MenuWare, you
may occasionally need to create a front-page box that we don't have a
template for. Before doing this, make sure that there isn't
a good place to put it. The news section is a
great place for many documents.
To create a new freeform front-page box:
- Choose the Front-Page Layout item of your site's Layout menu.
- Click on the Add A Custom Module link in the list.
- Click on the Add a new module link at the top of the page.
- Fill in the entries in the form.
- Name - This is the "title" of the module.
- Contents - This is the actual contents of your module.
You can use HTML if you please.
- Add to Page? - If you'd like to go ahead and add it to your
front page now, choose a column. Otherwise, you can add it later.
- Click the "Add Static Block" button. This will create your document.
